Tsarizm has been reporting on the systematic persecution of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Zelenskiy government in favor of his recently created state-compliant Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Symbols are powerful, hence the cabal of state and its “church” have recently removed an historical fresco of Tsar Nicholas II and his family, thought to have been martyred by Cheka forces loyal to Lenin, from Holy Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir. Indeed, the tsar was responsible in great part for the financing of the construction of the cathedral which was funded also by efforts across the then empire to raise needed capital.
Statues, art, even music have been deemed “degenerate” and “antisocial” across the annals of history. One only needs to remember the “Entartete Kunst” (Degenerate Art) declarations of the Hitler Regime or even the removal of the statue in front of City Hall of Revolutionary War General Schuyler by the then mayor of Albany, New York, Kathy Sheehan. In this author’s family history, the bust of Friedrich Froebel, founder of kindergarten, was slated for removal from in front of his natal home by East German (GDR/DDR) officials as its “style” seemed too 1930s, hence too evocative of the previous regime. In that case, one can still see the bust in its original location as the venerable citizen, Ulla Heinze, had removed it in the middle of the night hiding it in a barn until the Communist government fell.
The current Ukrainian elite have pronounced the historic fresco as a symbol of “Russian Imperial Influence” not worthy of religious devotion speculating paranoically that it could be used by “Russian intelligence to recruit sympathasizers.” In effect, the Zelenskiy government is creating its own version of the proverbial “Russian Hoax.”
Not long ago the canonical Orthodox Church was dispossessed of the Holy Dormition Cathedral leading to miniscule attendance. A government may manipulate “faith,” but the faithful are impervious. One sees this historical precedent in Hitlerian Germany when Protestant churches were forced to be compliant to Berlin, only for Lutheran Christians to form a “Bekennende Kirche” or Confessional Lutheran Church.
Zelenskiy may fancy himself a “patriarch” but he is really fulfilling Biblical prophecy that Christ will put his sheep to the right and the goats of the world to his left into eternal darkness. Ostensibly, Zelenskiy is more of a goatherd than a revered political leader.

Tsarizm has been lying. The Church you claim to be canonical was caught acting as agents for Putin’s regime. Dealing with traitors as such is not persecution, no matter what you want to push.
The Ukrainian Church is not schismatic. It has been recognized as canonical.
Then it would be in Communion with most other Orthodox and it’s not. But the Lord sees All while the spiritual battles rage. Thank for taking the time to share your thoughts!
