Russian President Vladimir Putin took an icy bath today to celebrate the Orthodox Christian feast of the Epiphany.  The practice is common in the Russian Federation where residents believe the act is healthy in addition to being observant.

The Russian Orthodox Church is now enshrined in the Russian constitution.
