Live video of massive protests for democracy in Moscow over alleged corrupt upcoming municipal elections. Authorities have repressed opposition political figures and detained thousands over the last few weeks to stop the show of civil unrest over Kremlin policies.
Opposition leader Alexei Navalny was imprisoned again and possibly poisoned while in detention, and hospitalized with a ‘severe allergic reaction’. Opposition bank accounts have now been frozen by Russian security services over alleged money laundering by the Kremlin’s opponents.
World leaders have condemned the repression. As the protests grow, this is the most significant challenge to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s presidency in a decade.

Chances are the bigger the demonstrations, the more government controls will be placed.
I doubt there is anything like civil liberties.
Democracy is a misnomer. It is a misplaced ideal. Democracy is just rule by the rabble masses. It is an outdated concept telling of city states and city councils. Nothing ever gets accomplished. Perhaps if the demonstrators were looking at something more akin to a republic they would be better served.
