Internationally renowned lawyer Robert Amsterdam is meeting with US officials and representatives of the Armenian diaspora in the US capital Washington these days, and briefing them on the Armenian authorities’ actions directed against Russian Armenian entrepreneur and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan—who is currently jailed in Yerevan—and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Also, Amsterdam posted a video about this on Facebook and wrote that in every capital they visit, they will continue to expose the defamatory actions directed against Samvel Karapetyan and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
He noted that the Armenian government has imprisoned Karapetyan, one of Armenia’s most respected businessmen, on absurd and politically motivated charges.
The Armenian authorities are discrediting the Armenian Apostolic Church, and attacking the fundamental pillars of the faith and national identity of the Armenian people, the renowned lawyer added.
