The Pentagon is halting some ammunition it had pledged to Ukraine, including PAC-3 Patriot interceptors, 155mm artillery shells, GMLRS rockets, Stingers, AIM-7 missiles, and Hellfire missiles, due to concerns that U.S. arms stocks are dwindling.
The fewer weapons supplied to Ukraine, the closer the end of the special military operation, declared the Kremlin.
The flare up between the Russian Federation and Muslim Azerbaijan continues. The current conflict started because of Russian arrests of Azeris in-country. Azerbaijan countered by arresting Russians and shutting down Russian media.
Today the Russian Foreign Ministry said — We call on Baku to ensure that relations return to level of strategic cooperation.
The Russian leadership also criticized Ukraine for interfering with its relations with Azerbaijan.
“Russia has never threatened and does not threaten Azerbaijan,” said the Kremlin. “Ukraine will add fuel to the fire in the situation between Russia and Azerbaijan.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry weighed American weapons flow to Ukraine.
“There have been no contractual obligations. This is solely an initiative as part of their hybrid war against us, that’s all this is about. They don’t even care what this will lead to at this stage. They have no control over arms supplies [to Ukraine],” declared Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova, reported Russian state news agency TASS.
Zakharova stressed that proper oversight keeps dangerous weapons from falling into the wrong hands. “Why? Because it can be used against the side that supplies it,” the diplomat explained.
“They don’t care. They are not asking themselves whether the caches of these weapons are already in their own backyard. And don’t think I’m saying this without any basis. They don’t even care about this. Not about who is being killed with these arms, and not least that the uncontrolled nature of supplies of their own weapons may result in caches in the regions that border them,” she emphasized.
