Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, met in the United Arab Emirates on the 2nd of November. The two leaders primarily discussed trade and economic cooperation.
“Our trade and economic cooperation is increasingly vibrant. In spite of various difficulties and obstacles, our trade turnover has exceeded $3 billion. Perhaps, it makes up about $3.5 billion as of today. But we have a very good chance to expand cooperation by promoting the interaction of regions,” Alexander Lukashenko said, reported BElTA.

As for the political cooperation, we do not have any problems. We are committed to the course that we have agreed to follow,” he added.
Russia And Belarus Say Payment Dispute Settled
For his part, Poroshenko commented on progress made on previously agreed upon issues, like demarcation lines and trade. “I am keeping an eye on this issue,” he declared.
