“According to local media reports, a man entered the synagogue in the Russian capital with a handgun and gas canister. The motives behind the incident were not initially known,” reports the Jerusalem Post.
The attack came before Rosh Hashana began, the Jewish holiday sometimes referred to as the ‘feast of trumpets.’
