Edward Snowden took to Twitter again on Thursday to weigh in on the ongoing scandal around President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. The former national security analyst, now living in exile in Russia, pointed out the absurdity of Biden’s defense of his conduct.

Snowden tweeted, “You can’t routinely take classified material home (itself a crime): …from 1973-2009 (‘docs dating from his time as a Senator’), …again from the WH (2009-2017), …report it only after somebody ELSE stumbles across your stash …and claim it’s OK bc 𝙣𝙤𝙬 you’re ‘cooperating.’”

An exchange between Fox News’ Peter Doocy and White House Spokesman John Kirby, in which Doocy asked, “What happens to someone…if they do leave with a piece of classified material?” To which Kirby responded, “You self-report, which is what the President did,” captured Snowden’s attention.

“I recall that the Department of Justice was somewhat less generous when I self-reported,” Snowden remarked, “even after I went to the trouble of doing so on the front page of every major newspaper in the world.”

When one Twitter user tried to claim there was a difference between Biden’s and Snowden’s handling of classified material, saying Snowden took documents intentionally, while Biden did so inadvertently, Snowden quipped, “Yes, and one day you will accept that so did he. One does not ‘accidentally’ hide little stashes of classified documents in basically every location they’ve ever visited unless they are either bending the rules or a particularly acquisitive raccoon.”

When another Twitter user accused him of stealing passwords to access data and creating a mess affecting the lives and jobs of thousands, Snowden replied unapologetically, “It was literally my job to access that data, honey. I had the authority, the clearance, and the access rights, which is to say you’re lying about ‘stealing passwords.’ And if this is what you call ‘a mess,’ then I’m proud of that mess. I’d do it again.” He cited a court ruling that confirmed the NSA activities that Snowden exposed were unconstitutional.

Apparently there is a difference between Biden’s handling of docs and everyone else’s handling of docs. That difference is that Joe has the deep state get out of jail free seal of approval, and everyone else, especially named Trump, is guilty regardless and must be raided and prosecuted to the fullest extent.
