Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak proposes to create a temporary special commission in the Verkhovna Rada that will prepare and consider issues related to the control of the use of weapons received from partners, declared Ukrainian news outlet NV.ua.

After the article in the Financial Times which outlined how Western military aid to Ukraine is being funneled to the black market arms trade, and imperiling European sovereignty and security, and the crash of a Ukrainian aircraft in Greece loaded with weapons and explosives, the man called ‘Ukraine’s Rasputin’, possible Russian spy, and alleged homosexual lover of Vladimir Zelenskiy, is now taking control of Western military aid in a bizarre twist.

Local Ukrainian analysts reacted with negative emotion to the news.

“Why is Andriy Yermak commenting on these things. I want to remind you that the head of the Office is not a political person, although everything seems to be turned upside down in our country. It is not for Mr. Yermak, who is responsible for the bureaucratic part of the functioning of the Office, to be responsible for political things. This could be commented on by the President of Ukraine, perhaps the chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defense, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, people’s deputies, and finally, the heads of factions. Well, definitely not Ermak. In general, I wonder why Yermak exceeds his authority, said political scientist Oleksandr Antonyuk, on the air of Radio NV recently.

If this is a reaction to the assumption of the American congresswoman Victoria Spartz that Yermak is connected with Russia, then the comment of the head of the OP should be different, Antonyuk is convinced:

“Yermak should just say that they told a lie about him, he has nothing to do with the Russian special services. <…> And talking about the work of the parliament is not within Yermak’s powers.”

“In this thesis, voiced by Yermak, there is a foundation ( my premonition, I may be mistaken) of some regular notes of distrust towards [Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] Valery Zaluzhny. <…> The Temporary Commission of Inquiry means that there is some kind of problem. I have not heard that the problem of the use of high-precision weapons by our military personnel raises doubts, for example, at the Pentagon. On the contrary, their reports show that we are using NLAWs, Javelins, today HIMARS very effectively.”
